Frequently Asked Questions

Why should we hire you?

I care not only about producing quality photos, but also being able to tell the story of your wedding day through the power of pictures. Instead of going for a 'house' style or something that is overly posed, I focus on capturing the real moments of your day in a natural manner.

When should we book you?

If the first thing you did was reach out to secure your wedding venue, you might have been surprised by how far in advance our bookings can be. Don't wait. Wedding photographers are in high demand and getting the one you want can sometimes be a challenge.

How many pictures will you deliver?

A good rule of thumb is 30 to 50 deliverable photos per hour of coverage. This number doesn’t dictate how many I will shoot. It’s how many pictures you can expect delivered after the wedding is over. Oftentimes, I will deliver more than this, but I like to set expectations up front in case there are unexpected delays or circumstances that would lower your photography count.

When and how will you deliver our pictures?

Within four weeks of your wedding, I will send you a link to view your gallery online. If you would like to order any prints, you have the option to do so from the gallery. Alternatively, you can download high resolution photos from this gallery and have them printed at a place of your choosing.

When is payment due?

£100 is due at the signing of the agreement, which reserves the date. The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding. Any additional coverage added before the wedding is due on the day of the event.

Who covers travel expenses?

For weddings located in Kent, Essex, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex, travel is included in the price. For any travel outside of these areas it will be the responsibility of the wedding organiser to pay for the travel and potential accommodations for the photographer(s).

What do you wear to our wedding?

I believe in being appropriately dressed for your wedding. I strive to blend in with the rest of your guests. I find that this is the best way to put people attending your wedding at ease.

Can friends and family members take photos of our wedding?

Of course, they can. I do ask that you help me if they happen not to be respectful or have become distracting. The reason I ask for your assistance is to handle such situations gracefully. Generally speaking, most guests are just eager to grab something quick for themselves and will quickly recognise that you hired me for a good reason.

How do you protect our photos?

From the moment I capture your photos, I am already thinking of the best practices for protecting them. Every reasonable step available to me is employed. I shoot with multiple cameras in case one fails on the day. My cameras shoot with two cards, both recording the same picture at the same time so that I already have in-camera backups. This means that if one card malfunctions, there is the second card there as insurance. All files are transferred onto a network storage device that writes them simultaneously to two disk drives. Again, providing redundancy for your photos every step of the way until you receive them..

What happens if you have to cancel at the last minute?

I have a network of other trusted wedding photographers that can step in and photograph your wedding if the need should arise. If none of these people are available, I am a member of a number of groups where wedding photographers can find emergency replacement cover. If the need should ever arise to seek another photographer in this way, I will carefully review their gallery to ensure their style and quality is comparable to my own.

What happens if we have to change the date of our wedding?

I understand that not everything in life goes according to plan. If I'm available on your new date, I am happy to move the booking at no additional cost.

Why are you called COREA Photography?

This is for two reasons. Firstly, COREA is an acronym that stands for Cameras Of REA, which are the initials of my name. Secondly, COREA sounds very much like the country Korea, which is where I was born and as such it holds a special meaning to me.
